Wyllyotts, is a busy and well-loved 420 seat multi-purpose venue with a dedicated management team and staff. It has a busy and diverse programme of theatre, cinema and other bookings. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Manager to join the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To rota and manage a small team of technicians, including full time, casual and apprentice staff.
  • Focusing on the delivery of technical excellence to customers
  • Responsibility for health and safety within the facility (training will be provided). As a small team we welcome your input into all aspects of the venue.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the Theatre Manager consummate with your skills, experience, and the needs of the business.

What we are looking for:

  • previous technical experience in a live entertainment venue, preferably managing or supervising staff members
  • Strong technical skills are essential in the role
  • Excellent knowledge in the relevant Health and Safety legislation ideally hold one of the following qualifications; IOSH Managing Safely ABTT, Bronze Theatre Technician Award, Diploma in Technical Theatre or NEBOSH General Certificate

This post includes shifts and weekend working and may sometimes involve working extra hours for which lieu time is given.
